Quantel Dewormer

Description

Orally administered tablets for the treatment of clinical worm infestations including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms in dogs and cats.

For routine control, adult dogs and cats should be treated once every 3 months.

Product Note: Sold as singles.

Directions:
Quantel tablets are administered orally either directly or mixed with a portion of meat or sausage or mixed with the daily diet. Dietary measures or fasting are not necessary.

Routine Treatment of Adult Dogs: Quantel should be administered as a single treatment at a dose. 1 tablet deworms 10Kg body mass.

Routine Treatment of Adult Cats: Quantel should be administered as a single treatment at a dose. ½ tablet deworms 5Kg body mass.

Weaned Puppies and Kittens under 6 months of age:
Quantel should be administered as a single treatment at a dose rate of ½ tablet to 5Kg body mass. Treatment should be repeated for 3 consecutive days.

Nursing bitches:
should be treated at the same time and as frequently as the puppies up to 12 weeks of age. Thereafter the adult worming regime of once every three months is recommended.

Increased Dosing for Specific Infections:
For the treatment of clinical worm infestations in adult dogs administer Quantel at the dose rate of 1 tablet to 10kg body mass for 2 days.

For the treatment of clinical worm infestations in adult cats administer Quantel at the dose rate of ½ tablet to 5kg body mass for 3 days.
